Taking pictures and posing in public is still a struggle I can’t seem to shake. I have definitely become more comfortable in front of the camera, but am always attempting to dodge busy areas. I know that I just have to get over yourself, but I can’t help thinking that everyone just thinks I’m incredibly narcissistic. Whatcha gonna do?!
Same skirt two ways. I am in love with both of these outfits because all of the pieces (including the tote) are so versatile and can be worn in countless ways and in different seasons. Not only are they good staples, but also great quality. I was even able to find a lot of pretty good deals as well.
I’m all about a realistic price tag, especially being in school. I completely understand being on a budget. But I have also accumulated a lot of cheaply made pieces just because they were on sale, and they end up being pushed to the back of my closet. Which ends up just being a waste of money. So I really try to not compromise on quality and to invest in clothing when needed while at the same time keeping an eye out for deals.
This button up printed top I am in love with! It is super chic and even a bit preppy making it the perfect button up for fall. I am linking this button up here from Gap Factory. Currently, they are fully stocked and only $20.99! I wanted to pair this originally with jeans and booties, but the day I shot it was 80 degrees. Sorry, but not taking this one for the team.
However, I love it with this little black a-line mini skirt (also on sale!) from Express. Currently, they have most sizes still stocked, but I have a feeling they will not be around forever. I love how put together this skirt makes you look. It is also great year round because it is not a heavy material. You can wear it bare-legged in the warmer months and then add tights + booties for winter and fall.
They also have a light pink color available. Once again, they are fairly well stocked but are already out of a few sizes. So if you are interested, snag it soon.
(Currently Express is having a sale, everything is BOGO 1/2 off.)
For outfit #2 I threw on this cable knit sweater (AE) which is making me crave fall big time. If you have been following me, you know I style a lot of AE + Aerie pieces. Pretty much because I love their style, but also because their clothing is sooo soft and comfortable.
I shared a couple AE tops (and a sweater from Nordstrom) recently in a summer/fall transition post.
Last week, I gave in a purchased this bag for school–it is actually a tote and would also make a great weekender bag. I love it, and am such a sucker for this camel color. It is the brown that goes with everything–even black.
Finally, I have been eyeing up some pointed toe flats at Target. Fall and spring are when I wear flats the most. I have had a hard time finding flats in the past though, because to me some of them just don’t look right. And even less fit comfortably. However, I love the ones at Target (I’ll link below) because they fit great and are also a steal. They have them in nude, black, leopard (eyeing those babies up), and even a snake skin pattern. I have found that they run a little big, so consider sizing down. Just an FYI.
This post was a bit longer that usual, but I really wanted to share all these pieces plus more because they are great staples and decent prices. Win win!
If you have any questions, or other pieces you would suggest, comment below! I’d love to hear from you. Have a great week Friends!
