I have this thing with rompers. And with the thought of summer + sunshine, I am gushing over them right now! I’m always checking them out at my favorite shops and especially love the floral patterns. (This is getting romantic). And with summer vacations coming up, this is the perfect little outfit to wear for a casual afternoon or dinner out. They are so INCREDIBLY easy to style because you hardly have to worry about matching. All you really need to add are shoes–if you want. But since it is still not quite summer yet, I’m sharing this cute outfit plus tips on how to style a romper for spring.
Honestly, I found this romper at Kohl’s. I’m usually not a huge fan of Kohl’s (I’m much too faithful to Target)–but this was just too cute not to share. I can’t find it online, although I just purchased it the other day. I linked some others down below that you can find on Amazon. Since spring can still be a bit chilly to pull off your typical summer romper, there are a few ways you can make it spring appropriate.
Finding a romper with long sleeves is perfect for spring (or summer nights). While sleeveless is cute, it can be a bit too summery for spring–especially if the temps are still on the cooler side. Long sleeves compensate for the shorts + add a bit more warmth.
Jacket or Sweater
You really can’t go wrong with a good jean jacket. It is a great staple to keep on hand because it goes with so much, making it worth the investment. Especially pairing one with a flowy top or dress is a cute way to wear a jean jacket and add structure. I love the rough + pretty combo. If you want to keep the outfit softer, pair the romper instead with a cardi.
I have been wearing these booties all spring. I wore them in my spring transition post that you can check out. They are my favorite go-tos. Until you can pull of the sandals, they are a great alternative. Peep-toe booties would also work well too if you are looking at how to style a romper for spring. If the romper is more casual, you could even go with sneakers or slip-ons as well.
